Weapons must be stored in a manner that limits access to children and youth in care. Examples would be a professional gun safe that locks. If they are not stored in a professional gun safe, they must be double locked. An example would be guns that have trigger locks that are locked in a closet, case or cabinet. The agency will ensure that all firearms are stored safely and securely during home visits.
